Program Planning
Contractor Empowerment Initiative
The Multicultural Entrepreneurial Institute provided managerial and strategic planning services for contractors to develop the capacity to perform lead abatement work in the City of Milwaukee. During this program, contractors received assistance with marketing, technical assistance with formalizing their business, and securing licenses or SBE/DBE/MBE certifications. Lead abatement training and informational seminars at no cost to them. Connecting with labor and hiring opportunities, and networking activities for business opportunities.
During the period of this program, the tasks I oversaw and assisted with were: Administrative – compiling our client database of the firm of eligible contractors and inviting them to the following seminars & training dates to learn more about the program. Keep track of attendance and registration of all events, seminars, training, and technical assistance in the database. Keep track of call logs and emails when working on the contractors program. Marketing – Design contractors’ websites and marketing products. Designed the marketing materials for the program and website.
Worked collaboratively with the program director, guest speakers, and training instructors for scheduled dates of their participation. Worked collaboratively with chambers of commerce and non-profit organizations to share the flyers and program details with contractors who might benefit from the program. And worked collaboratively with contractors to share the program details with their employees, friends, and family members, who can also benefit from the program.
Skills: Administrative, Customer Service, Marketing, Creative Direction, Graphic Design.

Bilingual Youth Entrepreneurial Program
The Multicultural Entrepreneurial Institute hosts a bilingual youth program every spring and fall season of the year. Young adults ages 16-18 are to be exposed to an entrepreneurial mindset. This program provides training, mentoring, paid internships, professional networking, and competitive grants to support young adults interested in exploring entrepreneurship as part of their career or professional development.
I had the privilege to coordinate and design the program flyer for cohorts 1-5. I assisted with the marketing and administrative aspects of the program. Created the graphics in both English and Spanish for social media, email newsletter, website page – applicant form + details, and print.
Main point of contact for communication and coordination of registration and questions. Coordinate and assign the class instructors’ dates and topics for the program cohorts, and program the dates of the training dates that will take place. Invite guest speakers, prepare materials for classes, set up power decks in the classroom, and order and set up food for the class. Coordinate and worked closely with the program director and instructors to execute the program successfully.

Accelerator Bootcamp
The Latino Entrepreneurial Network hosts a Spring and Fall cohort of the Accelerator Bootcamp, aimed at existing entrepreneurs who have been in business for at least two years and are looking to grow and learn more about the industry. It’s a great program for them to receive coaching and guidance from a professional business coach throughout the program.
The tasks given were to oversee the registration of the class attendance by registering enough participants for the program to take place. As well as creating the marketing flyer, updating the website with the current program information, email newsletters, and contacting entrepreneurs and local chambers who might benefit from the program.
Serve as the main point of contact for questions, information about the program, coordination of class set-up, classwork, copies for the class, setting up Zoom links for online attendance, coordination of guest speakers, confirm attendance, and send reminders of class + assignments.
